Saturday was Orientation and the beginning of getting the garden ready. We are delighted to welcome the new personal row gardeners. It was a beautiful day (not one rain drop) and we were able to prepare the bean arbor area and plant sugar snap peas. The fall–bearing raspberries were pruned and we propagated sixteen plants for our sale in May.
There is much to be done to prepare the garden for planting! We are, therefore, beginning to schedule Saturday work days. On Saturday, March l0th from l0-l2 we will meet to work on our grass problem in the common walkways. Each week there will be an update plus a list in the small shed of things to do. With everyone’s help we can achieve our goal of being ready to plant the garden.
Thanks to all who helped this past Saturday and we look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday (3/10) from l0-12. (If the weather is really inclement then we will aim for March l7th.)
Peace,
