First Part of Easter Egg Fund Raiser

Well, here we are already into March and the Groovy Growing Gardeners, the Jr Master Gardener club at the garden are starting 2010 out strong. We have already met to start planning out what each gardener is going to grow in their garden boxes. They even went home with some seeds to start.

Tonight we met at my house for the first part of a fund-raising project. We colored the eggs that we will be planting in a couple of weeks.

Here they are busy at work coloring the eggs.

Yes, being creative is messy!

This looks like so much fun - & what a great idea! Do kids find the eggs, then plant them??

It is a fun project and no we haven't used the hunting finding spin on it yet. The kids will be selling the planted eggs for a fundraiser. I think we are going to be selling them for $ 2.00 each. Last year the money they raised they donated to the Salvation Army Food Pantry to help feed those in need.
