A Sunny Saturday in April - What a Gift

Today was our first official work day of the season. What a beautiful way to start. The sun was shinning brightly and we had so many gardeners out, new and old. Miranda with the help of Linny caught a little green tree frog. She held it in a container for a while then decided to release it after our orientation meeting.
The meeting went well. Lots of questions were answered and folks now have a good idea what the garden is all about. Thank you David.
After the meeting about eight of us stayed and cleared a few more rows. There was a good amount of grass taken out and we found quite a few large earthworms. We still have eight to ten more rows to finish preparing so we can plant in them. David planted some broccoli plants(I think) out in one of the first rows for the food pantry. Miranda helped him water them in.
All in all it was a great day,
Janet
